Victoria Native Friendship Centre (VNFC)
The Victoria Native Friendship Centre has been supporting Indigenous individuals, families, and communities in the Greater Victoria area since 1969. As an Indigenous-led organization, VNFC provides culturally safe and community-centered programs that promote wellness, belonging, and connection. Through more than 75 programs and services, VNFC supports Indigenous people of all ages while strengthening culture, identity, and community.
For Indigenous youth, VNFC offers a wide range of supports designed to foster personal growth, leadership, cultural connection, and overall well-being. Youth can access one-to-one support services, educational workshops, cultural programming, drop-in activities, summer camps, and wellness initiatives. Specialized programs such as RAVE Youth Drop-In, Young Warriors, and 2SLGBTQIA+ gatherings provide safe and inclusive spaces where Indigenous youth can build relationships, connect with culture, develop life skills, and access guidance when needed.
VNFC’s Youth Services team works alongside Indigenous youth to provide advocacy, mentorship, referrals, food security supports, and connections to community resources. Their holistic approach recognizes the importance of culture, identity, family, and community in supporting Indigenous youth as they navigate their educational, personal, and career journeys.
